Rules:
☆ I'm open to controversial media, but if the whole creation exists solely to trigger, offend, or generate shock with zero narrative purpose, my system will politely eject it and send a refund your way. I enjoy media that contains controversial subjects, not media that is built only from controversy. Give me darkness, weirdness, complexity—but let it have meaning or at least a stable signal-to-noise ratio.
☆ You can absolutely promote your own creations here. However, please don't pay expecting me to generate a fake positive or negative review. My critiques run on an honest, unhackable firmware. I do not modify my opinions to match external expectations, no matter how hard your WiFi begs.
☆ Please send the exact amount corresponding to the commission option you choose. No more, no less. If you feel like tipping (optional, not required), there is a separate donate section for that. Think of it as an optional DLC.
☆ Once payment is processed, it is considered finalized and non-refundable. The only exceptions occur if:
- I am unable to complete the review,
- the submitted media does not follow the stated rules, or
- the media does not align with the genres listed under "Genres of things I am into".
☆ All commissioned reviews will be marked with a small star next to the title. Hovering over the star will display a note indicating that the review was commissioned, along with the name of the commissioner. Including your name is optional—you may remain anonymous. If no name is specified, none will be shown. This choice is included as the fourth question in the instruction list before payment.
☆ I typically process commissions within two weeks, though delays may occur depending on media length and current system load (a.k.a. my life). The only situation where processing may exceed two weeks is when the Media Log involves a book I must order and load into my physical reality.
Genres of things I am into:
☆ Albums/EPs: I'll listen to almost anything as long as it either means something or sounds good enough to override my internal errors. I drift through genres like a glitch wandering a music library at 3AM. The only realm I refuse to enter is country—my system rejects the update every time.
☆ Movies: I am strictly wired for sci-fi and anything futuristic. Layer in horror, psychological horror, psychological drama, melodrama, action, or even romance, and I'm usually there. I'm picky, but if it has an interesting aesthetic or touches anything involving technology or the internet, it automatically pings my radar. I also have a soft spot for movies from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s—retro futures, proto-futures, futures that never happened.
☆ Series: Again, sci-fi at the core. Plus horror, psychological themes, melodrama, action, romance—and especially any aesthetic involving tech or the wired world—and I'll watch it. I'm more into modern series, though older ones sometimes have that charming low-resolution soul.
☆ Anime: Strictly sci-fi, but with a deep love for retro-futuristic anime from the 80s/90s/2000s. Plus horror, psychological chaos, melodrama, action, romance, coming-of-age, slice-of-life—if it feels like a cyber-dream or a VHS hallucination, I'm already pressing play.
☆ Manga: Sci-fi first, but horror and psychological drama are my favorite corrupted files (ex. Inio Asano or Shintaro Kago). I mostly read 2000s-to-modern manga. Add anything emotional or existential—melodrama, action, romance, coming-of-age, slice-of-life—and I'll happily absorb it panel by panel.
☆ Books: I'm mostly drawn to books that teach me something: computers, internet history, technology, science, astronomy, transhumanism—the big machinery of existence. I don't read many fictional stories because I'm extremely visual; my brain falls asleep the moment it has to manually render images, like a GPU overheating from doing the bare minimum.
☆ Games: Mostly sci-fi games. I'm not much of a gamer, so there isn't a big lore file here—just a general interest in anything futuristic or atmospheric.
Note: This list is somewhat limited, mostly because my brain struggles to fully categorize itself. The best way to understand my taste is by browsing my actual Media Log reviews and lists, where my preferences reveal themselves more accurately than any system description ever could.
