The skies, once adorned with flying cars, have now relinquished their futuristic spectacle, with each vehicle grounded on the road. While I do not harbor any complaints about this shift, it undeniably represents a drastic change I was unprepared to embrace. Consulting my phone, I discovered that it was 7 in the morning. Interestingly, my computer still indicates the year 2010, requiring a moment to comprehend the situation, given that my phone lacks a year display.
Upon glancing through the kitchen window, I observed teenagers, aged between 14 and 16, engaged in outdoor play reminiscent of the 90s. This stands in stark contrast to my experiences in CYBERXIA-042, where witnessing children playing outside was a rarity, barring visits to specific parks where a sense of hopefulness and a lack of dystopia prevailed. Although the year 2042 is characterized by brightness and utopian ideals, a foreboding realization from my visit in 2060 has hinted at a transient nature to this idyllic facade.
The duration of my stay in this altered reality remains uncertain, possibly spanning a month or two. A prolonged stay, however, raises concerns about its potential impact on my creativity—particularly in music and art. My creative expression is intricately linked to my current mental state, irrespective of whether it reflects sadness, happiness, or the prevailing atmosphere.
